- Govindaraja Tomara
- (?-1192)The Tomara ruler of Delhi who fought against Muhammad Ghauri in the first battle of Tarain (1191) as an understudy of Prithviraja Chahamana. On this occa-sion, Tabarhind, originally a part of the Tomara principality, was re-covered. In the second battle of Tarain (1192), Govindraja again fought in a subordinate position to the Chahamana ruler. Prithviraja was captured by the Ghaurids, but Govindaraja was killed in the bat-tle.
